I love to bake and I have a toddler who wants homemade muffins for breakfast everyday - I make A LOT of muffins. I was so excited for her arrival as I was tired of cleaning metal cupcake pans. Tonight when I was baking the cupcakes the smoke alarm started ringing and a weird chemical smell came out of the oven after they sat in the oven for 5-6 minutes. You can see in the photo that the cupcakes are not burned as they burned in just about 5 minutes. I even did a second batch in my metal molds to see if anything was burning in my oven - unfortunately none of the detectors worked when I was using my trusty old metal muffin pan. They are recycled as they are useless and clearly release chemicals. Another plus is the beautiful color.
