these are decent when they work, i had one that stubbornly refused to work properly so i returned it and got a replacement (the return process was pretty painless). I use them in a dual monitor configuration to switch between docking my work laptop and my PC. The problem with these is that they don't work well unless both DVI ports are connected to a graphics card. This can cause problems when my laptop is undocked and/or when the screens flicker and don't stabilize. The solution for me (Windows 8 64-bit) is to right-click on the desktop, click "Screen Resolution" and then click the "Detect" button. This displays the second monitor and stops the primary monitor from flashing. Now that I figured out this trick, they are much better and cheaper, they just aren't top quality. I've also noticed a slight hum with audio, although my 1/8" cable is too long and may be contributing to the issue (although it sounds ok when connected directly).
