Try this car HUD as a free product through the Revain Vine program. In order for it to work in your vehicle, you must have an OBD II socket. Cars have had on-board diagnostics since VW introduced them in 1967, and most modern cars since 2003, domestic and international, have an on-board power socket, but check with the automaker. Once you've found an outlet, plug in the HUD, then I recommend tracing the wires behind the dash (may require removing screws or panels). . The HUD mounts on top of the dashboard on a non-slip mat that holds up well. I used double sided velcro on mine as my dashboard surface is mottled rather than smooth. The manual is available online in both printed and text form to help: 1. Clear Trouble Code / 2. Overspeed Alarm / 3. Driving Drowsiness Reminder / 4. RPM Alarm / 5. High Water Temperature / Alarm / 6. Low Voltage Alarm / 7. Switch reminder (with manual operation). It has a clock and a day and night indicator. I have to say it's pretty cool and works well and at $79 (at the time of review) it's pretty cheap given that a factory installed unit costs a lot more.
