Strong 2.4G, poor 5G reception
Bought some small Wi-Fi antennas to compare with my HTPC build. They had better 2.4G reception (around +6dBi) but negligible 5G signal strength - a whopping -20dBm lower than the others, little better than no antenna at all! Exchanged the first pair for another, the result is the same.
