Review on πŸ“‘ Enhance HF Antenna Performance with the MFJ-941E: Original MFJ Enterprises Tuner with Mini Cross Meter, 300 Watts by Todd Phillips

Revainrating 2 out of 5

MFJ isn't what it used to be, it's already a low bar

Classic antenna tuner. I can't be wrong Or so I thought. MFJ has always had a dubious reputation. This tuner is one of the reasons why. While it works well, the build quality and factory quality control are terrible. The inductor handle snapped in half about a month after purchase. Each piece of this item arrived free of charge. Upon arrival, several inductor taps were shorted together. I disassembled the "kit" and placed the washers where needed but did not install them. I also swapped the handles. I spent about two hours and $30 to turn the tuner into a good, bring usable condition. To be honest I've always liked MFJ, although I've always thought of their wares as "most kits assembled". the quality has dropped so much that unfortunately I no longer buy MFJ products. I cannot recommend this tuner more. **another update January 2021** Tried to order spare parts from MFJ. It is not possible to communicate with MFJ by phone or online. Anyone remember the "garbage net" on HF? Rschunimagu **another update January 2021** Tried to order spare parts from MFJ. It is not possible to communicate with MFJ by phone or online.
