Description of πŸ“‘ Enhance HF Antenna Performance with the MFJ-941E: Original MFJ Enterprises Tuner with Mini Cross Meter, 300 Watts

The MFJ-941E gives you a 300 Watt antenna tuner that covers everything from 1.8 - 30 MHz -- plus you get a lighted Cross-Needle meter with on/off switch, antenna switch and a 4:1 balun! (The light uses 12 VDC or 110 VAC with MFJ-1312D * Not included). MFJs lighted Cross-Needle meter shows SWR, forward and reflected power all at a glance in 300/60 and 30/6 watt ranges, 8 position antenna switch lets you select 2 coax lines, random wire/balanced line or dummy load (direct or through). An efficient 12 position airwound inductor gives lower losses and more power out. Has 4:1 balun, 1000 Volt capacitors. The beautiful aluminum cabinet has a durable scratch-proof multicolor Lexan front panel matches your rig perfectly and fits right into your station.

You get what you pay for. CHECK ALL SODLER JOINTS

Good option for use with multiple antennas. The capacitors were misaligned and I had to realign them. The gauges also showed slightly higher readings than actual power and SWR.

Pros
  • Testers give high marks for support and durability
Cons
  • Out of style

Defective tuner best in cb and radio

Item shipped and arrived as planned but item was defective and I have returned it for a refund. I bought it to replace the MFJ-949 tuner, after that I died (the balun blew). A new fancy tuner does not tune the existing antenna on any of the bands. Adjusting the inductor or capacitor did not affect the ranges. Either the built-in SWR meter is defective or the tuner itself.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • I will write later

Didn't work right away

This is a good antenna tuner that must have skipped quality control or was made late Friday night. There is a switch on the box to connect the transmitter to a 50 ohm dummy load or various antennas. The switch has two dummy load positions. One of them (the tuner in linear position) did not work even after toggling the switch several times. Small point, but the antenna switch is uncomfortably difficult to operate. MFJ can do better. I'll get another one, but I'll check it carefully. Maybe take…

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • Not the best

Good basic performance

Pros: Very efficient antenna system tuning - gives me 1.1:1 on every frequency and every radio. Decent quality - not the best, but good Accurate, calibrated gauges Cons: The gauges are just too small and the graduations are very stupid, making it difficult to read. The 12 volt meter bulb is horribly yellow and looks outdated. I immediately replaced mine with a diffused white LED. The switches are solid and don't have a distinct click. Not a big deal but the radio still picks up when it comes to

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Having problems

MFJ isn't what it used to be, it's already a low bar

Classic antenna tuner. I can't be wrong Or so I thought. MFJ has always had a dubious reputation. This tuner is one of the reasons why. While it works well, the build quality and factory quality control are terrible. The inductor handle snapped in half about a month after purchase. Each piece of this item arrived free of charge. Upon arrival, several inductor taps were shorted together. I disassembled the "kit" and placed the washers where needed but did not install them. I also swapped the…

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Available in white only
