Review on 🐠 SICCE Shark ADV 800 Submersible Internal Filter, 211 GPH, Suitable for Freshwater and Saltwater Applications by Jessica Williams

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I want to give more than 3 stars but I can't.

The design is cool and the freedom to use all media is wonderful, cleaning is quick and easy and the thing is quiet as the night. When I sleep this thing is literally 3 feet from my head and when I turn the venturi off I can't hear it at all. It's great, isn't it? But my water is not very clean. I don't overstock and I don't overfeed. I see fish droppings swimming past the water inlet all the time. So I disassemble, squeeze out the sponge, rinse out the rest of the medium. Garbage is still not picked up. What gives? The problem, in my opinion, is that the magnetic connections between the compartments are not sealed enough. I've noticed that free-floating plant leaves often get stuck there, but never on the bottom or the sponge, which means too much suction in areas closer to the impeller. There isn't enough suction through the bottom grilles. That means dirty water gets past most of my mechanical media. I don't have ammonia so the biomedium works, but the filter throws particles back into the water column. Not perfect. I hope they can fix the kinks in a future version of this filter. I really, really want to love him. But I do not know. I will change this filter.
