As everyone has mentioned - this is a solid, well made machine and with three inserts it makes amazingly smooth potatoes and other foods - I use it as a prep for making gnocchi and they always turn out well this tear. I would add a small caveat - they don't show you in the pictures but like some other brands it has a steel insert - two things happen, the potato creeps back up the side and then causes the insert to move up as well when They bring grip when reloading potatoes. Also, the insert is not sanded and is a little rough on the underside - so it's a bit dangerous and be careful running a sponge over it to clean it - I cut my finger all over washing it.
