This was installed on my 2004 Altima and is the second replacement I have replaced. Others who open my hood don't seem to understand that you have to use your thumb on the front of the latch and then pull the brace forward to release it. Instead, these fools choose to pull the prop straight down and break the cradle in which it rests. To explain the incompetence of other idiots on this planet, some of whom have an alphabetical list of certifications like ASE, there is a market for such items. And for that purpose it works well.
