Nice and compact thermometer with a comfortable grip. It is important to calibrate the thermometer before use. I used ice water. The readings can be a bit inconsistent, but in my experience they only vary between 3° and 6°. You'll have to play around with it a bit to figure out how to calibrate and understand the various variable settings. The instructions aren't the clearest, but after playing with it for a few minutes you should be able to figure it out. Remember you get what you pay for. It's not sold or priced as an exact top-end model, but for basic purposes it's more than enough.
