Convergent Integrated Management - Comprehensive Security
I like that CIM is an all-inclusive system that allows for a wide range of security management. It has a robust reporting system that allows for easy tracking of events and allows for easy reporting. The system is a bit cumbersome to use. It is not intuitive and requires a lot of training to use. I have to admit that I am a security expert and am not the best at using software. I have been able to use CIM for my security department. I have been able to see trends and events that have occurred in the past. I am able to track events that have occurred and can easily see what has happened in the past.
Pros
- The fact you are allowed access directly into data center firewalls with minimal configuration changes gives this product very positive points when compared against other similar products.It tracks event logs from firewall, routers etc..Very good interface once it gets set up properly (usually takes several hours).You get reports almost immediately after request submitted by monitoring user or administrator.
- Easy way log files could be accessed through web browser
