The OE broke due to a broken part (VERY small plastic strip holding the cable). Replacement is not bad. Installation was difficult but relatively easy. It doesn't have a motor (good) as you can just transfer your old one over and save $$ that way. YES, you need simple tools. Better than having the dealer reinstall it. By the way, after the final successful installation, you need to recalibrate the hub. Note: This must be done on the door being repaired, not the driver's console. Oh I fixed the old one with some wire and solder. I will have a replacement.
