Excellent carving knife

I've always been amazed at how many people grab a large 10 inch knife when trying to carve meat. This 8 inch knife is perfect for slicing roast, turkey or other meat. Matter. The blade is thin enough to go around bone and sharp enough to slice through meat with ease! The blade is very sharp! Damascus steel is really impressive - this is my first knife with this type of blade. Basically they take a piece of really good steel, bend it and work it 67 times. The craftsmanship of such a blade is amazing. The blade is sharp and the handle fits well. The weight and balance are really good for serious cooking. This blade just became my #1 knife. It comes with a locking block which is really good but fits into the main knife block on the stove. Above average packaging is also a really good gift for anyone who loves to cook.
