Review on ASUS PA278QV: Premium DisplayPort Monitor with Anti Glare, Adjustable 2560X1440P Resolution, 75Hz Refresh Rate, Blue Light Filter, Built-In Speakers, and HDMI Support by Wayne Sak

Revainrating 4 out of 5

My recent experience with multiple 27 " 1440P IPS monitors.

I recently purchased two of the following 27" 1440P IPS monitors to use in a 4 monitor array in which I already had two Acer K272HUL Dbmidpx L 27" IPS monitors. From Favorite to Least Favorite: 1) The Acer Nitro XV272U Pbmiiprzx 27" WQHD are my new favorite 1440p monitors as they offer the best picture quality of any monitor I've tested. I use them for me not a gamer, excellent text readability, minimal glare , nice sleek design, decent glare reduction with no blurring (see Dell device notes below) Great controls and menus, except they're a little fiddly when mounted side-by-side as the controls are on the right rear of the monitors so access to the left monitor can be tricky due to their placement. You have to physically move the monitor to access the controls. Although I don't mind much. 2) The Asus ProArt Display PA278QV is my second favorite, but I simply prefer the picture quality over the performance the Acer Nitro XV272U is slightly better I don't like the gauge lines on the front of the display but I suppose they might be useful for video/photo editors? I also think the menu system and buttons could use some improvement. Overall a good monitor but it didn't work for me. 3) Acer Nitro VG270U BMIIPX - great picture quality and same picture quality as the other Acers listed above, but the fatal flaw of these devices is that they slow down my computer when my computer wakes up from sleep. I contacted Acer support and they believe the issue is related to the firmware installed on the monitors. Gave them back. 4) Dell U2719D - Really nice, sleek design with great menu system controls and input options, but the anti-glare was too aggressive for my liking and the picture quality was "none" compared to the two Acers listed above.
