We bought this scooter for our 5 year old based on reviews here that his younger children could handle it and also because he has proven he can ride a two wheeled scooter for short distances. He got tired of trying so hard to control him very quickly and the scooter - his favorite gardening activity - began to take a back seat. We decided to give him a Micro Maxi Scooter - one that is really recommendable for his age - and he is so happy to be riding a scooter again. Mom and Dad love to ride this scooter! Now we can ride scooters with the guys and keep up with them. I recommend this scooter for the recommended age especially for adults who want to stay active with their kids.
