UPDATE 08.20. I just spent 1 hour with Epson support to hear "wireless connection not guaranteed" "you tried another computer". I've attached a video stream through the projector, the audio and video on my computer are in perfect sync. I'm a consultant and professional trainer and I'm constantly looking for the perfect combination of presentation. I am using Surface Pro (latest version) with I7, 16GB RAM and 500GB storage. I have 3 Epson projectors: 9200, 1751 and now 1795F. All 3 have a decent picture, the reason I bought the 1795 was the size and brightness, it puts out around 1000 lumens compared to the 1751 and is HD resolution (slightly lower than WUXGA so the 9200 has a better picture Has). I was stoned. Expectations for this projector and once again I'm let down by the lack of performance. Wireless is useless, horrible lag, video is VERY choppy and audio is undetectable, just hissing and crackling. Switch to Miracast (another reason to buy). I used the Actiontec ScreenBeam 750 to communicate wirelessly with two other projectors as the connection was flawless. Miracast on 1795 works well not great, connects quickly but there is a bit of video stutter (wouldn't watch video about it), this stutter predominates on local video (streaming from surface pro) like it's like that Video is on you watch youtube. I called Epson regarding this and they can't offer anything, seriously, even a 20MP wireless connection should be able to handle video streaming smoothly and they don't have an answer as to why the video is choppy. If you want a semblance of decent video, connect to HDMI (still not flawless). Let's keep it to a minimum, if you want a compact, lightweight, easy-to-pack, bright, Miracast-enabled projector without embedding video in your presentations, this will work, but it's overpriced and packed with features that don't.
