Great value shoe that lives up to expectations

I was really hoping for a better shoe than what I paid for but in the end I got what I paid for I think. Some key points that may help others in their decision. 1) I wear cycling shoes 44. For some reason the sizes are US. 44 is usually around a 10.5 - this shoe doesn't come in a size 10.5, you can get a 10 or 11. on my foot, but true I think on the stated size. The boa stretcher allows me to squeeze it tight so it fits normally. 2) There are a few awkward pressure points that I need to use a few more times to decide if this is a shoe item or just something I need to break in. 3) While the name says "road cycling shoe", there are cleat options with 2, 3 or 4 bolts. However, note that with the 2 and 4 hole cleats there is a small loose piece of metal that when using the 3 hole cleats just dangles and clicks as you pedal. I don't see a way to remove or block it so it doesn't click. Again, it'll need a few more rides to see if I can live with that, but it's a little annoying. 4) The sole of this shoe is not stiff at all. I use a SpeedPlay pedal/cleat with "regular" tension and a couple of times I couldn't let go of my foot because the sole was too flexed for me to apply enough torque. If you don't mind a soft sole and don't want to optimize performance, this might work. But I foresee a very short shelf life for these shoes for my purposes. The optics are good, I am very satisfied with the construction and the durability, in addition to the points mentioned above. I ordered the SpeedPlay "Easy" cleats which hopefully work better with this shoe. I would consider it unsafe to use the "regular" version with this shoe.
