Be careful when knocking out the pieces. Use a tool. I broke a few pieces in my haste.

I don't know how transparency or thickness relates to this model. It was fun putting it together. I followed the directions, removing the burrs and applying the wax to the appropriate areas. When I was done I turned it on and it worked fine. It was nice to know that the time spent on assembly was worth it. I would spend an hour or two a day on it. And more than once I had a working model. I will collect others when finances allow. A very fun project.
