My title pretty much says it all. I really like the softness and whiteness. However, part of the softness makes it difficult to bead through small holes without growing the ends a lot, and even then the material is so very soft that it wants to stay stiff enough to be able to push through instead. It's tricky so I wouldn't use bamboo for your project unless you're stringing something or a few beads/pendants ONCE and then wearing it for a while. If you have some small or narrow threading holes, I would forget about bamboo cord. However, the same softness makes it particularly comfortable to wear. When worn next to the skin, it stays whiter longer without washing than most other natural corduroy materials I've used. (I've used cotton, canvas, and leather.) I'm still testing for durability. At this point I can say that it works a lot better than linen for me, but maybe not as durable as woven cotton cord. The first time I put on a necklace that I wear 24/7 except in the shower, there was a fray on the bamboo cord that *could* be the cord's weakness. I have a second string in 4-5 months and nothing has worn out yet. I'll update this review when it starts to wear out around the same time as my first string and let everyone know.
