Review on Park Tool PCS-10.3 Deluxe Repair Stand for Home Mechanics: Ultimate Convenience and Efficiency by Victor Garro

I bought this stand because of all the rave reviews I read online and here at Revain. As a former bicycle mechanic, this stand is suitable for simple bicycle repairs. Unfortunately, this stand didn't live up to my expectations - it wobbles, is unstable around a tripod stand and the clamp doesn't keep my bike straight for long. In fact, I clamped my Specialized Roubaix frame to the seatpost last night and found this morning that the bike was spinning almost perpendicular to the ground due to the loose clamp. I understand these Park Tool repair stands are for the DIY enthusiast, but don't expect anywhere near the quality and consistency of their professional deluxe clamps. I find it worth buying the PRS-4.2.1 at about $50 more if you have a deluxe desktop or wall mount that costs the same as the PCS-10.3. These mounts are much sturdier and easier to use than flimsy PCS portable stands.
