Our front door faces the street (like most) even though our house is set back. We always felt unsafe when we had to run to the kitchen half dressed! However, we didn't want to lose the light. and replacing the glass itself with something more opaque would cost a lot. We have used other films in other houses in the past and they still allowed someone to look inside. but it is AMAZING! My husband went out during the day and even after dark and couldn't see me. only when I'm right in front of the door does he see the shadow. So good product. Of course, at night it looks a bit strange from the inside. just white. but I'm willing to have it because of the privacy it offers. Like all films. difficult to install properly. Just take your time and use a new blade for each window. Be sure to clean the window thoroughly before installation. High quality product! A NOTICE. I used a rubber food scraper/spatula instead of a squeegee and it worked great. I took it off the handle and drove off. No blisters.
