I'm not thrilled with this thing but it does the job and I need one and it's too late to return it anyway. What I like least about it is that it still requires quite a bit of arm strength to actually work as intended. I had an unrealistic idea of how this thing would go through tough flesh like butter; but mostly I'm to blame for unrealistic expectations. It is almost impossible to assemble after disassembling for the dishwasher; The position of each blade shifts slightly and then they stick together when you try to put them together. Now the good news; This works well with some established techniques. Use a good, firm grip and slow, steady downward pressure until you "feel" it hitting the cutting board. Turn the meat over and put it through the other side for the most thorough tenderness. Thicker meat requires more pressure to go all the way. So the bottom line is it's durable, works and can be a useful addition to the kitchen - I really don't know how it compares to some of the others. suggested.
