This bottle performs great compared to some of the more expensive brands. Good quality and high quality materials. The flip cover works well and the latch is a nice feature. The strap is the perfect size for me and allows you to wear it on your hand while carrying other items. Yes, it's a little harder to see the amount of water remaining because of the black color, but I certainly expected that. It doesn't take long to look at the light and see the level. If you are really concerned about this, you can choose a different color. One point of criticism could be that the time marking goes from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. (to be seen on my photo and on the product photos of the provider). This can certainly indicate a typically Chinese product, and in many cases this lack of attention to detail means other features can be of questionable quality. In general I would say it is not. It certainly looks like a well thought out and quality product for the price.
