Yes, it is "exact " replacement, but.
Ten years later it's time for a new remote control. Only old remote controls can be restored. The fact is that it no longer has a feature that I liked and in its place they put one that isn't on my TV. Damn. Otherwise good stuff and a real deal, not a "similar" replacement. I would like the letter "A" but it is out of stock. So be aware of this and buy it when you need it. It works.
