Review on Hakko T18D16P Fx 888 Station 1 6Mm by Jeff Callier

As far as I can tell this is the same tip that comes with the Hakko FX-888 Soldering Station. I didn't realize it when I bought it, but I've since decided it's a good fallback attachment. This is a good general purpose tip for soldering electronics in through holes. The tip isn't perfectly smooth (there are small machine marks on its surface), but despite that, it has good heat dissipation, is small enough to get there, and has the right shape for good contact. Don't let the Hakko tip fool you. Counting. They are very simple. The Hakko FX-888 station uses T18 series nozzles. -D16 is a 1.6mm wide chisel point. The tip -D24 is 2.4mm wide. Hope that helps.
