Works perfectly. Good smooth polished surface

Fits perfectly. Works perfectly. Good smooth polished finish. I've used it for less than an hour straight, maybe ten different days, but so far it looks brand new. I think if it wasn't very good quality it would be enough to show problems.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Hakko Tips Best Soldering & Soldering Tips Review

I just bought a Hakko FX-888 and some tips and I have to say these tips have a quality coating that keeps them clean and not tolerant of oxidation, the actual tip is also coated for protection and long life. The selection of Hakko tips is huge, there is a tip for every job. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

This is a very good quality tip from Hakko

As expected this is a very good quality tip from Hakko. Don't waste your time with a pack of unbranded tips, you'll save yourself a lot of trouble and get the best soldering experience with quality tips. They are not that expensive and last much longer than the cheap ones.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Null

Shit. the immediate difference was amazing

I have a Chinese clone of a Hakko 936 soldering station. The tip my station came with was nothing special so I got the real Hakko tip. saints. Shit. the immediate difference was incredible. The heat transfer from these tips is just as amazing and I can't imagine how easy it is to get the heat exactly where it needs to be. I'll take another one with me as a spare next time I order!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Upgradeable

To have basic advice.

As far as I can tell this is the same tip that comes with the Hakko FX-888 Soldering Station. I didn't realize it when I bought it, but I've since decided it's a good fallback attachment. This is a good general purpose tip for soldering electronics in through holes. The tip isn't perfectly smooth (there are small machine marks on its surface), but despite that, it has good heat dissipation, is small enough to get there, and has the right shape for good contact. Don't let the Hakko tip fool you.

Pros
  • Soldering and Soldering Accessories
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Works perfectly; DO NOT solder aluminum with this tip

Good tip. Under no circumstances should you attempt to solder aluminum with it, including aluminum foil. You get 1 good joint per tip, then you have to buy a new tip. The aluminum literally strips the durable tin coating from the end of this tip, rendering it useless. I could only retain it with tinned connection but it doesn't last long. The permanent tinning of the tip will be destroyed and the tip cannot be restored. And since the permanent tinning is sucked off at the first aluminum joint…

Pros
  • Parts and Accessories
Cons
  • Doubtful
