This is a gift for my nephew when he was 1 year old. an enthusiastic voice but my nephew really liked it. Back then, inserting coins into the piggy bank slot was a big challenge for his fine motor skills. He also enjoyed opening the main compartment, taking coins out and putting them back in. We took this on a 10+ hour trip and it helped keep it busy most of the time. Of course, the coins then fell to the other side of his car seat where we couldn't get them, but it's worth noting that we all came back with them. One annoyance is that you cannot get original replacement coins from the manufacturer. Although an exchange was not yet necessary. At 17 months my nephew's interest in this toy wanes but usually you have to change toys and reintroduce them after a while. Or just place them in a slightly less accessible but still visible location. The moment he arrives we're trapped in a huge mass of toys and I have to fix that.
