Review on πŸ’‘ Siemens Q215AFCP Industrial Electrical Combination Interrupter, 120 Volt by Kyle Awasthi

A confusing update in later date codes hides the ground fault indication

Siemens (Murray) renamed these CAFCIs mid-cycle to hide the fact that they detect some degree of ground fault. I think the detection threshold is around 30mA (instead of >5mA for Class A GFCI or GFCI + CAFCI combos). On newer versions, the front label of the circuit breaker hides the ground fault LED (it's still there if you cut/remove the label!) and the packaging text has been updated to remove references to ground fault detection. I suspect homeowners are confused - and assuming that the "GND" indicator means they performed Class A ground fault detection (they don't), they simply hid the feature.
