Firstly there are many brands of silicone snaps of this type and I suspect they all work roughly the same. I chose this one here. available colours. LAUGH OUT LOUD. Should be purple. I also read the reviews first. It took me about two weeks to find the perfect conditions to pop and now I'm completely satisfied. I currently don't use popcorn oil, only Redenbacher popcorn, which fills to the first line in 3 minutes in my 1100w microwave. Usually about 10 grains remain unbroken. It emerges about 2 inches below the top. No scorched or burnt popcorn. Perfect, fluffy, delicious popcorn. I use a few sprays from a canola butter flavored popcorn sprayer, just enough for the powdered spice to stick to it. Very satisfied. Before determining the perfect time and brand of popcorn, I encountered burnt kernels, burnt popcorn, and an excessive amount of unopened kernels. I tried several brands before deciding that the more expensive Redenbacher was the best. I've tried different power settings and times, and varied between the first and second rows and between them. The optimal results were the ones I listed above. I recommend doing the same and experimenting until you find the perfect settings/brands. The main variable here will be the microwave you use. Once you find the perfect combination of bottling line, time and brand, you'll always have the perfect popcorn!
