Ultra Runner and Soldier here. Let me start by saying I'm in pretty good shape but an athletic girl so when I run I rub a little where the sports bra meets my neck and arms. In the past I've bled myself at long events. Then my toes stepped into my life. It was a damn find. So I started attaching it where my bra was rubbing. I then started using it on my feet in wet races. Then I put it for cancer trips wherever my cancer came in contact. No blisters, none. In fact, I've used it for my last 100 miles and haven't changed shoes or socks the whole time. Not a single bubble. So quickly to my current assignment in the Middle East. It's hot, sandy and not very good for physical activity. Not the best place to work, let alone for someone who always wants to be outside and stretch their legs. About a month ago I ordered another jar of this magical goop for a 26.2 mile hike. I ran in front of a training backpack a few weeks ago and lost my temper in a total mess. My legs were torn and the worst part was that all the sweat and dust was causing chafing right next to the crack in my buttocks. My god it was awful. Getting in the shower was agony. I screamed like hell and left scars on half the base (okay, not half the base, but at least on the girls in the shower next to me). Talking to a battle buddy, he had the same problem. Serious crack in the ass. So that day I ordered more trace fingers, praying they would arrive just in time for the cancer. Deployment takes some time to get here, so it was a close call. Glad it came the day before. I have EVERYWHERE. Yes, in the area of injury. He did the same. Well 26.2 miles later with a 40 pound backpack on my back everything hurt but my ass was intact as was his. My legs were fine and dandy. Life was pretty good. Every day I thank my lucky star for my toes. This is the balm of the gods.
