The remote works well and the soundbar sounds really good. But this is the 3rd remote I've bought for a JBL soundbar in 2 years. Remember this is an adult household. Neither toddlers nor teenagers abuse it, and the dog does not gnaw on it. The original buttons lost their function within the first 7 months of use. The problem is that the buttons wear out. First, the membrane on the surface wears out, and then the switch itself loses its sensitivity. The first is the volume controls. When I called their customer service after the first one failed I had to request a replacement under warranty - they wanted me to pay for one. The replacement took another 7 months so now I had to buy an out of warranty one.
