Great realistic look for an aquarium. Recommended for seawater installation, however I cleaned it thoroughly and used it in a freshwater tank. We didn't have any problems, the fish grow huge and very healthy (we are on the third batch of cichlids). One star removed due to the amount of fine silt in the reef sand. I've rinsed and rinsed and rinsed (I did mention rinsing this thing) to make sure there were only trace amounts of salt (which is actually good for freshwater fish, just not too much), but the mud is still there there. When you do water changes, it's okay to use them to catch sludge, but it takes months to completely remove it. I would recommend a DE filter or similar if you're going to put the tank up and stir up all the sludge to remove as much as possible. Once it's gone, the tank looks great and stays very clean, but patience is required.
