Review on STEELMAN PRO 96787 100 Lumen Detachable LED Headlamp by John Mahfood

This is a great lightweight headlamp. One of my favorite features of this light is the fact the light can be removed from the elastic band and used independently. There is no uncomfortable and cumbersome battery pack on the back of the headband like some other brands.The light is made of a hard metal and can withstand some serious abuse. In my tests I dropped the light from 15 feet while powered off and while powered on onto a hard wood floor. The light works as good as it did before the drop test. I hike a lot and have been known to drop lights and have them break. Due to the hard metal casing this light has some serious protection from falls.In a completely dark room the light cast has a 10 foot radius when 8 feet away (see pictures below).I received this light for free for testing purposes and in no way did that influence this review. I LOVE this headlamp. It is one of my goto lights for hiking due to its durability and high radius light cast.all from a single LED.
