I've had bad experiences with cheap Harbor Freight syringes in the past and have reverted to the old fashioned brushes and rollers. However, this time I had about 150 feet of a 6 foot fence that I was afraid of getting dirty. Based on the reviews, I got this sprayer for about $42 after the discount. It worked great! The fence was painted in about half an hour. A brush and roller would take hours. It took me a while to get used to it, but once I got the hang of it I was able to control the spray pattern very well. The sprayer is light even when filled with paint/glaze. Feels sturdy and has satisfactory ergonomics. A few caveats: 1. The standard sprayer tip is too large unless you need to apply a lot of paint/glaze in a very short amount of time. Switch to the smaller (red) nozzle for a medium layer. I would suggest testing on a large piece of cardboard (of course I didn't and learned the hard way). Cleaning the spray gun took longer than painting the fence. This is by no means a blow to the syringe. It is very easy to disassemble and clean, but as I have many other projects for this sprayer I have been very thorough.3. When you pull the trigger, the sprayer sometimes "spits" a drop of paint onto your project. I would suggest pointing the atomizer away from your project and then slowly moving it inwards. Again, no knock as I can still feel the atomizer and this could be due to user error or incorrect nozzle selection.4. When cleaning, remember that there is a small red gasket inside the sprayer under the paint tube on the side of the sprayer. It's very easy to lose. Additional will be provided. All in all, I would recommend this sprayer. Form and function are outstanding. For now I will be using it outdoors but as I get more confident with the sprayer I plan to use it indoors as well. I will update this review with the results.
