Review on Capri Tools 4 Inch Diamond Ergonomic by Andy Baudoin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Bad choice for scales

Good quality torque wrench but setting the pitch is a math job. The ring adjustment increases it by 14 in. lbs per full turn, but the linear scale is divided into 30 in. lbs starting at 40 and 55 in. lbs. This means that the zero on the adjustment ring can ONLY match the divisions on the linear scale at 140 in-lbs, with the exception of the next divisions at 130 and 145 in-lbs. So never. It's just an odd design decision. Look for Capri Tools Industrial on the left. One revolution, 5 ft. lb., one linear division, 5 ft. lb. I'm going to replace the 1/4 drive with their industrial model, which is 10"lbs per turn, graduated 10"lbs linearly.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Not everything fits
