Lid reinterpretation: Ashtray

After reading all the reviews, they all seemed pretty good, but a few had comments on the lid. Well after a few days I get it now. Why can't the damn lid be unscrewed? If you lift it wrong or fall over, everyone will be on the ground. If the lid was screwed it would be perfect.
