Overall they're pretty decent for the price. My daughter is 8 years old and she loves her. The wheels are good for their age. It's not too cheap stuff with the wheels not spinning freely or anything. The only thing that bothers me is that the front wheel doesn't touch the ground on a very smooth, flat surface. It hooks up nicely when you're on rougher concrete or pavement, but when you're on a very slick surface the front wheel is a millimeter off the ground and only spins on push-off, not roll. Of course, this limits the illumination of the wheel when actively pushing. It's okay but inconsistencies worry my 8 year old.
