Optimum decided to scramble the basic broadcast channels which they said we would have to add 2 more boxes for $11 a month each. 1 box on our main TV suits us well; additional TVs - 1 in the bedroom and 1 in the break room, to which we have a Fire TV set top box with apps for our frequently watched premium channels. Their only other alternative was their $5/month DTA boxes; it was their unannounced cost-cutting response. The problem was that to use these DTA boxes you had to pay $80 for a service call so they could upgrade your service to Altice! I ordered this antenna and placed it in our bedroom (higher and closer to the tower than our break room); received nearly 60 clean channels (central New Jersey). Then I used the return wire of our cable that came from the break room and connected the end to this TV. I placed a powerful multi-output amplifier in the bedroom, and the output of this antenna served as the input for the amplifier. Scanned the TV in the break room and got about 55 clean channels on this TV. Some channels are "faulty" on both TVs and don't always want to turn on, but my husband and I are very happy with what we get! Definitely serves its purpose!
