Updates September 15th: Got a replacement from Eufy 6 days ago and it was fine. I was just unlucky to be the only reviewer who had bad locks (last time I checked the reviews). Eufy's support has been solid over the past month. They were very helpful and listened to me. That's far more than you would normally expect from customer support. We were working on a firmware issue which is now resolved and they have been getting emails from me the whole time. Rschunimagu. But now I have 2 working smart locks and look forward to using them for years to come. I would buy again. Updates September 07: Eufy's customer service is great. They have been in contact and it is believed my lock just broke. Also, I seem to be in the minority here with problems. I will keep updating. I really don't know what rating to give but I can't give 5 stars since I bought it because it said it locks automatically when the door is closed but it locks when ajar after the timer has expired. The main reason I chose this lock. Updates 05SEP: I have had two of these since August 12th and was pleased at first. One did not appear to be ready for immediate use and was quickly replaced. However, both have since had an issue where the mechanism got stuck and we just couldn't turn the handle to free it. As this requires a wrench. Sometimes you can rock it and it works, other times you just wait for it to give up. Both of my curls are doing it now, one just this week. I'm still working with Eufy support who are happy to help but now I wish I could reinstall them to fix some potential alignment issues which I don't believe given the way the locks fit together, that they can be turned off. So I definitely wouldn't recommend this to anyone. It's very frustrating not being able to leave the house. I bought 2 of these to replace some old touchpad screws (not auto). They are strong and even heavy. Fit and finish are excellent. Super easy to install and setup was really easy and painless. No complaints at all. The app is well made and I would like to somehow buy other eufy home products that match my locks. I had my previous locks for 8 years and the buttons that were used the most were getting harder and harder to press. This lock has a touchpad, so don't worry. My only mistake has already been fixed. When I put the first lock in place, I noticed that the gears had a dead center. Then they turned the lock a little further and he disappeared. But then I felt it again and again. Went ahead and put in the second lock and found it was super smooth. After a quick install it was like this for a while and I just called eufy customer support. I spoke to Tyler on the phone just explaining what was bothering me and 2 days later my replacement is here and running very smoothly. They really deserve their excellent reputation.
