I was very excited for the arrival of this Japanese fish peeler and thought it must be the best fish peeler based on the reviews and its relatively high price. I was so wrong I tried salmon. Nothing fell off the fish. I push on the fish with all my might, but to no avail. The blades (teeth) are dull, like wood. No traction. I don't understand how 5 star reviewers scale their fish with this tool. It just doesn't suit me. What I like - Looks unique and nice compared to other cheap scalers - Good grip Things that should be improved - The blades (teeth) should be sharper and have a good grip, otherwise it's useless. I am very disappointed in this purchase and unfortunately have to return it. I do not recommend this product.
