I love these curtains

I love these curtains they are real linen about 6 times cheaper than similar curtains at Pottery Barn. "Natural" color is beautiful. Outside of the packaging, I agree with another reviewer who called it a soft gray mushroom. When light passes through them during the day, they turn a browner color. Definitely great. I actually ordered the ivory colors for comparison as well and didn't like them that much although I thought I would like them more. They look nice and creamy out of the box, but they look a little cheap hanging up, in contrast to the "natural" ones. Oatmeal color so you can see the color difference. I have machine washed (warm, gentle) and tumble dried (low) two sets (one partially, one fully (accidentally)) all five sets I ordered. A few notes (see photos): Machine dried, shrunk about 2 inches long. Warm washing alone resulted in no noticeable shrinkage. The weave is still loose (and indistinguishable on machine dried panels from rope dried panels). I know this isn't surprising with linen, but it has proven to be a lot harder to iron out the creases on it than other linens I have. For that reason alone, I don't recommend tumble drying them. For me, the best way was to let them partially line dry (this takes about an hour) and then iron them while they're still damp. There were still a few creases afterwards but that doesn't bother me, I think they make the curtains more linen. (You can see it in the 3rd photo where the curtain is on the wall) All the panels have lost some stiffness with washing (they are still not as soft as the other bedding I have but you won't tell , if you look at them) There are some imperfections (snags here and there) that I didn't notice before washing, but nothing you'd notice unless you look very closely. I hemmed them with this tape and it worked very well. (Apart from my pins slipping all over the place because the weave is so loose. But the fabric holds the folds so tightly that all I had to do was fold the curtain to the right length and iron the fold with my hands. Loose hem!) Singer Fusing Web Iron-On Regular Weight
