that can be done. Add an antenna (extremely difficult but doable), place a (real) Wi-Fi hotspot, use it with Linux. I like it, range isn't that important since I use it to connect my friends to cafe chains, if they don't have an account I just host one. I should mention that adding an antenna post to You Tube doesn't work for this device, it's very difficult. This may include a real (e.g. wireless hotspot, not ad hoc or computer-to-computer connection, but it doesn't work) as a router to assign IP addresses, if you want this you need software ) wireless, that was reason enough for me to buy it, it works great, is reliable and has a lot more features than I expected, love it.
