I found a baby snapping turtle in my garden with a badly injured hind leg. When I found him, he didn't look like he had lived on this world very long. However, I ordered this Total Turtle Tank because it was cheap, and while I waited for it to arrive, I kept the turtle in a small plastic bag with some soil, rocks, a "pond" saucer, and greens, that I changed every day. It was buried in the mud, I never saw it move, and every morning I had to pull it out of the mud and rinse it just to make sure it didn't die on me. Turtle habitat came in the mail and changed the world. It only took me a few minutes to set it up (about five minutes) and then I put Grendel's turtle inside. From the first moment he behaved like a freshly minted turtle. He went around checking the stone bed, mud mound and (best of all) the pond. As he slipped into the water, I thought maybe he could wander this side of the veil for a while longer. Resolutely simple in design, easy to set up for use, this habitat kit doesn't pretend to be great but does a remarkably good job of giving turtles a clean, vibrant place to go about their turtle business. I recommend it to people who need a turtle habitat, especially those who (like me) are not very experienced in such things.
