I needed an up and down nozzle so I ordered this. It is very durable with a carbide tip. The downward facing cutting attachment is the ideal choice for cuts where a clean surface is required. Vertical cutting drills are needed where a clean footprint is important or maximum chip evacuation when cutting with a deeper profile. The compression bit does both. Although the manufacturer says this bit can cut almost anything, compression bits are primarily used for cutting double-sided laminates such as melamine or plywood. The carbide tip should help this bit last a long time if you take care of it.
