The problem is that the bristles are too thin and soft. When I tried it on a shower drain, the foam would not come off the PVC drain wall, I went to my shop and found a 4" plastic bristle (short brush with 1/2" hard bristles, there were 2 holes for screws attaches to a 36" stainless steel square bar. This loosened the scales and then I flushed the drain with hot water. It came out nice and clean. Your idea was a good one, the length of the cord was good, but the bristles were too soft hair could come out, but not peel off the inner wall of the tube.Frank
