All 5 " Gutter Hangers are Not Equal

The Gutter Hangers in this listing are on the left. The difference between these and the heavier hangers I have purchased is quite noticeable upon arrival but not at all apparent from photos or reviews. Here are the copper nails: 1. They use lighter weight aluminum which is relatively weak. The latch for the screw is different and less secure, which is important to me in hurricane-prone Florida where the chutes can be pulled up and down (rather than due to ice levees in the northern states, for example). The back plate consists of two parts instead of one in a more durable version.4. Screw number 10 while the other option is number 12.5. Most importantly, this option is slightly longer than the heavy duty hanger and does not hold the well as tightly/tightly. It seems to me that it is loose and does not provide a snug fit. That's the nail in the coffin. It's like knocking off other hangers where they put it through the bean counter first to save costs and got the marketing team to make it as similar as possible so the average consumer can tell the difference when he just couldn't hire the bean counter and marketing team and save yourself loads of money and use it to sell a better product at the same price. What else is new? I'd happily pay more for what I had before, but I didn't realize the significant differences between very similar options in close price ranges. So for me it wasn't worth it and I'm going to return these and take the ones I had before which are the same price per 100 maybe a little more for 50. For me the extra cost is worth it. It's not the same as doing gutters every five or ten years. You do it right once and you don't have to worry about it for a long time. Try to cut corners and you ask for misery.
