Got it for less than $300 in the Revain Prime Day sale, but the "regular price" is just over $300. Anyway, I paid the same price for both of my 24-inch monitors and neither of them supports 4K. Works ideally as a center monitor in a 3 monitor configuration (I have 3 monitors on 1 graphics card). If you are making 3 monitors on 1 card, give the card/windows 10 about 1/2 hour to fully adjust before attempting to tweak the settings. That's how long mine lasted and it was driving me crazy playing around with resolutions and colors as they adjusted around me. Refused to go to 60Hz no matter what I did (stayed at 30Hz) until the background setting was complete (again wait half an hour before you freak out and mess up all your colors/resolution). The monitor comes with HDMI and Displayport cables. It was nice. Some monitors don't have any cables at all, let alone 2. The biggest surprise for me was how TINY 3840x2160 actually displays text. I think if you leave it at that setting you'll end up blind or have premature wrinkles from squinting to read small text. I had to set the text size to 200% and even then it was annoying. Actually this is a good problem because I still have a lot of screen space left and I can remove the monitor by more than 36 inches so I can pretend my eyeballs aren't getting irradiated. Stand. I like a long flat silver bar, I can place 2 speakers (or 4) right next to it in a neat line. My Viewsonic and BenQ monitors have rounded bases where I can't do that, so they take up a lot more space, although they can be less obtrusive because they're black, not silver. I also see that if you mount the monitor on a flat table you might want to adjust it, and with this monitor you can't. My desk has an elevated monitor stand and it's like the monitor was designed for desks with a monitor stand. But a 28-inch monitor is a big monitor, so the viewing angle isn't that important (and Samsung also allows you to adjust the viewing angle in the menu). You can stand up for yourself if need be. I think if they made the stand adjustable it would be less secure. There was a time when the "Samsung monitor" had big office status because it was expensive and the best monitor money could buy. I remember when my Samsung CRT monitor was delivered (um, a while ago) and the UPS guy kept ringing my doorbell (he knew I was home and didn't answer the door) because "the Samsung monitor could have been stolen". I was impressed because he didn't seem to mind throwing the other components of my computer onto the porch at the same time, regardless of the weather, without worrying about the doorbell. I tend to be a bit cheap so the fact that it's a Samsung and fits my price point makes me even happier. It's been a long time since I bought the last Samsung monitor *YAY*. Would I buy it again? Oh damn yes. Just over $300 for a 28-inch SAMSUNG 4K monitor? It's easy, you'll love it.
