Review on CPU cooler Deepcool GAMMA ARCHER PRO, black by Ognian Dimoff ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The product is the most common, it could be worse.

The contact area of the cooler with the processor is 4.9cm² (a circle with a diameter of 2.5cm) due to a slightly protruding copper insert. Processor cover area 13.5cm² (3.7cm square). Those. the contact area is not much more than a third of the possible. This is less than the cheap non-PRO version of the cooler without a copper insert (8cm²). Declared support up to 110W. Worked for 3 years on a 65W APU in a compact package. Even not at maximum load began to howl. I'm afraid to imagine what would have happened on a 105-padded jacket. After 2-3 years, the noise increased to an unpleasant level, cleaning did not help, and a standard fan replacement could not be found. I replaced it with NH-L9x65, but this is a completely different price - silence is wonderful. In general, the cooler is not bad for a low price category, but I suspect that the non-PRO version without a copper insert, which costs 2 times cheaper, works just as well. In general, I think this 10 copper insert is not worth the money.
