Very thin small tape measure. The one my wife kept in her purse for about 20 years eventually broke and I bought this one with the intention of taking the strap out of the box and replacing the broken one as my wife really liked it. But this one's a little smaller, a tad lighter, and the key ring makes it easier to find in that packed bag - so she just wanted to use it as is. I don't want to have english and metric scales on the same page as they are a bit harder to read. She doesn't need the precision that this band offers. But she loves the tape!
