Definitely worth buying [Read review]

The bag was the perfect size for my car, although a little big for all my luggage. I drive a Nissan Sandra sedan and the bag had a bit of drag but it didn't affect my MPG much. I recommend using an anti-slip mat while driving and keeping the roof clean. Any dirt or dust can cause the mat to fall out; Mine did after the first 3-400 miles. My family and I made the trip from Southern California to Washington a total of 3200 miles and the bag was exceptional. I was concerned about the weather protection as all other bags at Revain have issues but even with snow and rain for 7 days the bag keeps my stuff dry albeit cold haha. It took me a minute to figure out how to attach it to the car. no handrails but it goes under the black molding in the door frame and NOT under the WINDOW in case someone else makes this mistake too when putting the bag on for the first time. It may take a while, but this casting will appear and exit. Make sure all straps are secure and tight. The bag has 3 sets of straps to attach to the car and two sets in front and back to tighten the bag. I recommend filling the bag as evenly as possible and as much as possible as this will likely save the bag. The bag itself was in good condition after my trip, however the strap sleeve that held the strap to the bag was frayed. I'm pretty sure it's because I didn't have an anti-slip mat to keep it from being blown about in the wind while riding. If it hadn't ripped I would have kept it. My assessment is that this is definitely a reliable holdall. Weather resistance is good, size was perfect, setup was easy after figuring out how to attach it to the car. The only downside I had was the weight of a full bag. If you can attach it to the car first and then zip it up, unless you have two strong people to throw it in the car. If you're worried about finding a decent holdall for long trips, I recommend this bag. Make sure the mat is in use and check your bag from time to time to make sure there aren't any tears, but again, this shouldn't be a problem with a mat.
